The conference will be held at Malaysia Bible Seminary (MBS), Rawang. Please be there by 9AM for registration on Wednesday, 16th Sep 2026 . The conference begins at 10am on 16th Sep 2026 and will end at 2pm on 19th Sept 2026.
What is KVBC NextGen?
KVBC NextGen is an annual training conference to build up leaders in children, youth and campus ministry.
Our goals for leaders coming to KVBC NextGen:
1. Grow in their Christian character and convictions as they sit under the teaching from God’s word and fellowship with Christians from various churches.
2. Grow in their skills in reading, understanding, applying & teaching God’s Word.
3. Be encouraged to persevere in ministry, refreshed to continue serving in their churches.We have delegates coming from all over Malaysia, even from Singapore and Australia.Speakers:

Workshops at KVBC NextGen are designed to help delegates build confidence in the Word of God. There are two workshop sessions held during the conference. Please indicate your preference below in descending order. While we will try to accommodate your top 2 preferences indicated, due to size limit to each workshop, we may have to assign you to your 3rd or 4th preference if necessary.

NOTE: Strand 1 participants will automatically be assigned to a compulsory workshop - "Personal Life of a Leader" for one of the workshop sessions.

1. Personal Life of a Leader
How much does personal life matter to Christian ministry? How can I serve others while not growing cold in my relationship with Christ? We will consider how the Gospel ought to shape our hearts from the inside out.
*This workshop is compulsory for Strand 1.*
2. One-to-One Ministry
Is it easier to fill a tray of bottles by spraying water at them from a hose or sticking the end of the hose in each bottle, one at a time? This workshop is for those who want to see the “spiritual bottles” of those under their ministry be filled up, by arguably the most efficient way; one-to-one ministry! The method: through the reading of God’s word, prayer and journeying in life together. Come find out all you need to know about how to start the most accessible yet underrated ministry, ie. one-to-one ministry.
3. Leading Small Groups
What are the dynamics of leading a small group? Should bible study be boring? Come discover how to practically lead a small group by building it on a solid foundation of the Word.
4. Music Ministry as Word Ministry
Why do we sing together on Sundays? Is it to create an atmosphere, to express our emotions, or just because churches have always done it? This workshop digs into what the Bible actually says about the place of singing and purpose of music ministry, and how it is inseparably linked to Word ministry. Far from being peripheral, singing is one of the primary ways God's Word dwells in us richly. We'll also get practical: What makes a song worth singing in church? How do we evaluate song choices theologically? How can we best serve God's people through music? Whether or not you play an instrument, if you care about singing well together as God's people, this workshop is for you.
5. Prayer: The What, The Why, The How
We know we should pray. We might even want to pray. So why is it so hard — and why does it so often feel like the first thing to go when life gets busy?
This workshop goes back to basics on prayer: what it is, why it matters, and how to actually do it. Along the way, we'll think about what gets in the way of a healthy prayer life, and how the Word of God and prayer belong together, especially for those of us leading and serving others.
Whether you're finding prayer a struggle or simply want to grow, come ready to be encouraged and challenged.
