The cross of Jesus Christ turns the world’s values upside-down. Instead of its religions trying to earn divine favour by works, the cross teaches salvation in Christ by grace through faith.

Likewise the cross turns the world’s values of religious ministry upside-down. From 2 Corinthians 3–4, we will see the true glory of Christian ministry, the right way to do Christian ministry, and the true hope of Christian ministry.

Speaker’s bio:
Originally from the UK, Paul Thompson trained for Christian ministry over twenty years ago in London after a missionary challenged him: “If God is calling you into ministry, you’ll never be happy until you say yes!” While at seminary, Paul also met his Malaysian wife Yu Li.
After eight years in local church ministry in West London, Paul switched to prepare for future ministry in Malaysia. A PhD in New Testament followed. Paul has been teaching for Equip Seminary since 2021 and now serves as Equip’s Principal, teaching on its degree programme and mentoring local leaders studying for the Union School of Theology MTh through Equip. He also serves as an elder of IC@MK.
