Commitment
Each module requires a weekly commitment of about 4 hours of contact time and another 3-5 hours of preparation time. A typical week during the course is as follows:
9.00am: Exposition & Q&A
9.40am: Instruction 1
10.20am: Break
10.30am: Instruction 2 / small group exercises
12.00pm: Close
Other than the Foundations of Preaching module which is a prerequisite for all the other modules, students can choose the order in which the modules are undertaken.
Students can expect to take a minimum of 2 years to complete the course but have up to 6 years to complete the course entirely.
Assessment
Students will be assessed according to three sections as detailed below:
- Weekly study questions
- Small groups work – practice talk, outlines, big idea presentations
- Reading reports (2,000 words)
Instructors
This course is led by Course Director, Tan Kay Hoe, and assisted by other various instructors from Malaysia and abroad.
Prerequisites
To reap the full benefit of this course, please note the prerequisites below:
- Have a shared conviction. Read our core beliefs here.
- Share a basic commitment to preach God’s word effectively.
- No former preaching education required.
Course Fees
Each module costs RM1,900. Through sponsorships, CEP offers subsidised fees:
Foundations module: RM650
Other CEP modules: RM600 per module
