The book of Revelation has left many Christians puzzled and confused, and this is often compounded by wild speculations as to what it actually teaches. While admittedly difficult to understand, if we give careful consideration to its historical and literary contexts, and its unique literary language and style, we will go some way towards unpacking its true meaning. Granted that much of what it has to teach anticipates the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, it will be shown at this seminar that it has just as much, if not more, to teach us about what Christians can expect and how we ought to live right now in the interim between Christ’s first coming and His second coming. Our study of this book will thus serve as a great encouragement to us today, through its warnings about the challenging times Christians will face as we get nearer and nearer to Christ’s coming; but also through its promises that, despite and in spite of such insurmountable challenges, God is faithful and will keep us true to Him right up to the end.

Rev Dr Ong Meng Chai
Meng Chai served as a pastor for 18 years in two Churches before being appointed as a Lecturer in Theology at Seminari Theoloji Malaysia (STM) where he taught for 9 years. He then served as the Associate Director of Centre for Expository Preaching, Petaling Jaya, for 3 years.  Now retired from full-time Christian ministry, he is actively engaged as an itinerant preacher and teacher in local Churches. He is married to Sandra, and they have an adult son.
